Dress Code

Tops: 

  • No pictures, emblems, or writings on clothing that:
    • Are lewd, offensive, vulgar, or obscene,  
    • Advertises or depicts tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, drugs or any other illegal substance, or  
    • Contains fighting words or incites criminal activity.  
  • No cut-off tops. (No midriff can be showing)  
  • No strapless garments  
  • No see-through garments 
  • Designed so that the neckline does not reveal cleavage  • Designed to cover all undergarments 
  • Fit properly  
  • Tank top straps must be at least two inches wide 
  • Shoulder blades and midriffs must be covered 
  • Proper undergarments must be worn under all clothing. 
  • No corsets or undergarments are to be worn on the outside of regular clothing.

Shorts/Skorts: 

Length should be long enough and fit appropriately as not to   

   exposed any undergarments and/or private parts while standing, 

   sitting, or bending over.  

• No see-through garments. 

Dresses/Skirts: 

  • Length may not exceed (4) inches above the top of the knee
  • Splits may not exceed (4) inches above the top of the knee

Pants: 

Proper fit-

  • No sagging or baggy fit - worn at the waist  
  • No see-through pants
  • Leggings/jeggings/tights may be worn only with shirts or dresses that cover the bottom. Tops worn with these cannot be tucked in or knotted anywhere. 
  • No holes in pants higher than mid-thigh or fingertip length
  • No pajama-style pants 

Shoes: 

• Must be worn at all times, fastened properly.  

• No bedroom slippers.  

• No shoes with wheels.  

Accessories: 

• Hats, caps, sweatbands, or any type of hood (hoodie) will not be  worn in buildings 

• No gang-related clothing/items will be allowed  

• No bandanas, do-rags (male or female) visible anywhere on the  body 

• No trench coats  

• No blankets  

• No spiked jewelry 

• Sunglasses may not be worn over the eyes inside the building.

Final Exam Exemption Policy

EXAM EXEMPTION POLICY

Students are only eligible to exempt final exams. All students are required to participate in a midterm exam in year-long courses.

Semester Courses

"A" average with 3 or fewer excused absences

"B" average with 2 or fewer excused absences

"C" average and perfect attendance

Year-Long Courses

"A" average with 6 or fewer excused absences

"B" average with 3 or fewer excused absences

"C" average and perfect attendance

 

  • Absences related to a school function (FT) will not count against perfect attendance.
  • A student will automatically lose his/her test exemption in the event of the following:
    • 1 unexcused absence
    • More than 3 days of ISS
    • More than 3 tardies (applies per class)
    • Alternative School
  • Students who take CTE courses will be able to exempt the final exam within their course/program if they earn a CTE credential during the duration of their course.
